Teaching Method of Prosody and Possibility for Autonomous Learning: A Theoretical Background and Practical Example

Résumé
In this paper, I first prove the correlation between the Japanese discursive structure and prosody based on the theory “Grammaire de l’intonation” (Intonation Grammar) of Morel and Danon-Boileau (1998). Then, with application of this correlation, I propose a teaching method of prosody easily accessible both to the teacher and the learner through the binary criterion of the function of determination and a written indicium, the specific syntactic/discursive marker, which allows autonomous leaning.
