Une Armée de métier pour la France

For the government, conscription is no longer an instrument for the integration of young people who have emerged from adolescence into the adult world. Today, it is becoming necessary to create a professional army. There are several criteria against this solution, including cost, opportunity costs and the democratic link between the nation and the army. The choice for a professional army is based on the professionalization, specialization of the army, the truth of the costs. However, the renovation of the National Service could be undertaken, at least at the level of the symbol and the capacity of conscripts to constantly bring in civilian techniques and innovations applicable to the service of the armed forces.
Pour le gouvernement, la conscription n’est plus un instrument d’intégration au monde adulte des jeunes sortis de l’adolescence. Aujourd’hui, il devient nécessaire de créer une armée de métier. Plusieurs critères s’opposent à cette solution, notamment le coût, les coûts d’opportunité, le lien démocratique entre la nation et l’armée. Le choix pour l’armée de métier est fondé sur la professionnalisation, la spécialisation de l’armée, la vérité des coûts. Cependant, la rénovation du Service national pourrait être engagée, au moins au niveau du symbole et de la capacité des conscrits à apporter constamment les techniques et innovations civiles applicables au service des armées.
