Les images filmiques et la part insignifiante de l’expérience urbaine

Abstract : On the basis of John Smith’s 1976 film The Girl Chewing Gum, this article reflects upon the perceptive and sensitive work induced by audio-visual images in spectators. What exactly takes shape during the audio-visual experience, in between images and sounds? How can filmic images translate ordinary sensitive urban experiences, and favor their narration?
