Abstract : Has the period of confinement that has affected a large part of the planet during the year 2020 modified our relationship to cities and to habitat? The pressing questioning of the media invites us to return to the notion of distance and its possible reconfiguration before the two-month period of confinement, considered a little too quickly as 'pedagogical', or even 'transitional' with regard to a 'world after'. By observing, through a quantitative survey, the mechanisms of distancing and sociability, we wish to better question the return of small towns, announced by the media as the new horizon
