Pairing effects in delayed neutron emission
Résumé
The energy spectrum of delayed neutrons from the beta decaying odd-mass nuclei is estimated within the quasiparticle Tamm-Dancoff approximation. A complex single particle representation is used in order to describe the neutron escape widths. Qualitative agreement with the energy spectrum of delayed neutrons from beta decaying 137 I nucleus is obtained. Sensitive behavior of the neutron spectrum versus the neutron gap parameter is reported. (Elsevier)
