Le rôle de l’économie publique dans la gestion du sport

Abstract : Sport is an important societal fact. Its growth is a public service mission, because it has a considerable health, educational, political and sociological vocation, concerning in particular equal access to all, the plurality of practices and the training of athletes. The links between the state and the sports movement are necessary, even if it is necessary to avoid the propagandist drift. The public sector is partially disengaging from profitable sports activities, but the regulatory role of the state must not disappear. Private actors must evolve within a clearly defined legislative framework, including the status of clubs, ethical issues and the exercise of competition.
