Geovisualisation des dynamiques cycliques d'événements spatio-temporels

Abstract : The identification of cyclic events, as part of temporal data analysis, is mainly done through mathematical analysis, and takes only into account the temporal dimension of events. Our objectif is to propose a visual analysis method allowing to identify cyclic spatio-temporal events, and which takes into account both temporal and spatial dimension. The idea is to integrate, into a multi-view geovisualization environment, a temporal diagram, based on Time Coil and Time Wave concepts, in order to represent the linear and cyclic aspects of time. The synchronization of the temporal diagram with a cartographic representation allows to identify the relationship between the location and the return-period of a cyclic event.
