Quand l’INA propose ses "archives pour tous". D’une mémoire télévisuelle à la naissance d’une télévision-mémoire en ligne

Abstract : Broadcasting memory on Internet concerns lots of institutional actors in the field of archives. This article analyzes the implementation and growth of the website “archives pour tous” (“archives for everyone”) created by the National Audiovisual Institute (Ina) in 2006 (origins of this site found in 1995). From the public perspective, this site recreates markers on the Web, a frame for familiar experience (Goffman, 1974) based on the TV archives (the common heritage of the French, “madeleines de Proust”). In line with the issues related to the emergence of “content industries” (Miège, 2000), the analysis aims to highlight the construction of an editorialized offer (content analysis of 50 screenshots of this website in 2009), a real online television-memory : television as a mass medium remains the matrix that characterizes this online television, marked by integration in the collective memory of a television culture.
